Interview: Morten & Michael – Summer 2008

Morten and Michael Stützer int. by Lars Lolk

It was about time that I finally got myself around to conducting my first interview with the Stützer-brothers, Michael and Morten, as I’ve known both of them for years – and what’s even more incredible is that Morten lives just two minutes from my very own home, a suburb next to Copenhagen, and Michael 20 minutes away in the perimeter of Copenhagen as well. It’s a hot and sunny afternoon, and both interviewees anticipate the upcoming release of their ‘common baby’, which is already hoisting top-grades from the dominant metal magazines around the globe. The plan is to get an extensive take at Artillery’s past, present and perhaps even future, discussing the line-up’s and the reunion, in conjunction with the topical album release and hopefully even future projects, if any. Luckily Michael and Søren agree on the schedule, and the informal Q&A has begun.
